About Oryza

Software
grown
to scale

Oryza is the botanical genus of rice. We plant the idea, grow the software — and you harvest the scale.

01 — Origin

The people
behind Oryza

Oryza Labs was founded by Pedro Müller and Pedro Turik, from Computer Science at the PUCRS School of Technology — and was born inside Tecnopuc, one of Latin America’s leading technology hubs.

One came from the Apple Developer Academy ecosystem, with a product and iOS track. The other, from PROCERGS and int6 tech. Today the company gathers a team of ~7 people focused on turning stuck operations into software that scales.

We are Oryza Labs, where turning ideas into custom digital solutions is our priority. We connect technology, design and strategy to build innovative, reliable software ready to drive your business forward.

02 — How we work

Principles that don’t
end up as slides

  • /01

    Straight to the point

Short sentences, clear decisions. A spreadsheet is not a system — and we say it just like that.

  • /02

    Aligned with the business

We talk operations and results. Technology serves your business goal — and we explain every decision.

  • /03

    Results-driven

We talk growth, efficiency and operations — not stacks. Technology is an ally, not the protagonist.

  • /04

    Close partnership

From discovery to maintenance, with you at every step. Truly custom-built demands proximity.

03 — Our edge · People

Every Oryza dev
comes from the League

At PUCRS, our partners coordinate the Algorithms League — with 100 participants every week — and the Cloud Computing League, supported by AWS. More than hiring technical talent, we grow it.

  • Algorithms League

Weekly training in algorithms and data structures with 100 devs in the making. That’s where Oryza’s engineering comes from — trained every week, from code to delivery.

    100 participants/week
  • Cloud Computing League

Training in cloud architecture and infrastructure, supported by AWS — the same standard that underpins the systems we put into production.

04 — Ecosystem

In the heart
of innovation

Being at Tecnopuc isn’t an address, it’s an environment: a technology park with over 20 years of history, next to the School of Technology and the Apple Developer Academy | PUCRS — the ecosystem where our team was trained and keeps training.

From here we serve operations all over Brazil: from Rio Grande do Sul to São Paulo, from agribusiness to e-commerce, from insurance brokers to aviation.
